CRAFT Cider

The SCOW Cider Story

The SCOW Cider Story is one of Maritime Pride

NO MATTER THE WATERS WE SAIL!

The SCOW craft cider story is entrenched in the rich history of the Bay of Fundy region. For the better part of a century, scows sailed the Petitcodiac River towards Fundy. Laden with local goods, they shared our New Brunswick bounty with the world. Their legacy as versatile vessels with strong-working crews inspired us to make an honest premium cider, using only pressed fresh apples.

With over 70,000 apple trees in the Memramcook Valley, time and an extraordinary microclimate have perfected Belliveau Orchards’ abundant hand-picked harvests, producing pure flavours that we’ve captured in our small-batch ciders. The crisp, consistent taste is a testament to the attention to detail we put into our craft.

Discover why SCOW Craft Cider has taken off, bringing new fans on board every day. Its popularity is rising like the Fundy tides, making it a much sought-after addition to eateries, pubs, and fine dining establishments. It’s a refreshing beverage that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with seafood, pork, spicy dishes or cheddar (virtually anything that goes well with apples).

apple cider from an apple orchard!

After all, where else would it come from? Stretched along the banks of the Petitcodiac River, overlooking the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy – the Memramcook Valley’s unique microclimate creates the ideal growing conditions for the world’s finest apples. For nearly a century scows sailed these waters to deliver New Brunswick’s bounty to the world. Since 1932 our family has owned and tended the orchards of this valley. And today we proudly offer the world our honest, premium cider, still made at the orchard with only fresh pressed, hand picked apples.

Nobody knows more about apples or has more varieties of heritage cider apples. This allows us to create unique and consistent cider without the use of syrups, flavours, concentrates, or additives and is what makes the SCOW cider story unique. Our state of the art storage facility preserves apple freshness year-round. The result is a perfect premium cider every time!
